Which app works with which device?

Do you have a Battery-Guard from intAct and are wondering which app is compatible with your device? In the following blog post, we explain everything you need to know about the compatibility of the old and new Battery Guard versions with the corresponding apps.

ATTENTION - Important note:
The "intAct Battery-Guard" app has not been compatible with Android or Apple for some time and is therefore no longer available in the Google/Apple Store. There is no longer any support for this app version.

The old Battery-Guard:

intAct's Battery-Guard was first launched on the market in 2015 and was revised in 2017. The app that works with this version is called "intAct Battery-Guard". This app has a limited range of functions and can only display the battery voltage. (No longer available in the store for Android and Apple users).

The new Battery-Guard:

The new Battery-Guard, which has been on the market since around fall 2022, is the much more advanced version. It works with the new "intAct Battery-Check" app and offers many additional functions in addition to voltage measurement:

SOC display (State of Charge): Displays the battery's state of charge as a percentage.
The image shows the battery status in the app.

Temperature measurement on the battery housing:
Monitors the temperature of the battery and can thus inform you before overheating.
The image shows the graphic of the temperature display in the app.

Start test:
Checks the performance of the battery when starting the vehicle.The image shows the graphic of the battery guard - cranking test.

Charge test:
Monitors the charging process of the battery via the alternator and detects possible problems.The picture shows the graphic of the Battery-Guard - charging test.

To summarize:

  • Old Battery-Guard: Only works with the "intAct Battery-Guard" app (No longer available in the store for Android and Apple users).
  • New Battery-Guard: Works with the "intAct Battery-Check" app and offers additional functions.
